A former Martin Agency executive suing his ex-employer over his ouster from the ad firm nearly a decade ago has come up short in his appeal of an initial court ruling but is continuing his legal battle that’s now entering its sixth year.

Earlier this month, the Court of Appeals of Virginia affirmed the judgment of the Richmond Circuit Court in the initial case brought by Joe Alexander, a former top creative at Martin. He claimed he was the victim of a conspiracy to tarnish his reputation after he parted ways with the agency in late 2017 amid sexual harassment claims made against him within the company.
