New Delhi, Sept 25: GAIL (India) Limited is set to expand the Jamnagar-Loni LPG Pipeline with a new 1,107 km pipeline costing approximately Rs 5,350 crore, crossing Gujarat, Rajasthan, Haryana, Delhi, and Uttar Pradesh.
This expansion aims to meet increasing petroleum demand and enhance the country’s energy infrastructure, providing a safer and more sustainable delivery method compared to road transport, while also reducing the carbon footprint.
Additionally, GAIL has approved a 114 km natural gas spur line costing around Rs 450 crore from its Vijaipur plant to BPCL’s Bina refinery, and a new Compressed Biogas (CBG) plant in Sultanpur, Uttar Pradesh, designed to produce 20 TPD of CBG and promote sustainable agriculture through the generation of Fermented Organic Manure.
