ELMIRA, N.Y. (WENY) -- The Arctic League is searching for a youth bell ringer to help lead its 2025 Christmas campaign.

The role is open to children in Chemung County between the ages of 6 and 12. The bell ringer will serve as the Arctic League’s youth ambassador, participating in several holiday traditions.

Duties include opening the “Big Book” at League headquarters on November 12, riding in the Elmira Christmas Parade on November 28, helping with the annual live broadcast at the Clemens Center on December 7, and assisting with toy packing in December. The bell ringer will also take part in closing the “Big Book” later in the month.

Kids who are interested must personally write and sign a letter explaining why they want to assist the Arctic League. Letters should be mailed to: Arctic
