TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) - A woman who was chased through Cascades Park after a suspect knifed two people earlier this month is sharing her story for the first time.

Liz Potter says she saw the suspect, Octavious McCaine , but she didn’t think much of it.

Unfortunately, Potter says she sees the homeless or mentally unstable often hanging around the park without issue.

But this time, Potter says McCaine chased her and her dog through the park, and was one of the last people to evade his kitchen knife before he jumped into the water.

Potter said she is shaken up, but is summoning up the courage to go back to one of Tallahassee’s best parks.
