ALLEN PARK -- The Detroit Lions were missing three players at Thursday’s practice.

There were no surprises, though, with left tackle Taylor Decker (shoulder/rest), running back Sione Vaki (groin) and safety Daniel Thomas (forearm) as the three missing.

Thomas, who has operated as the team’s punt gunner to open the year, suffered a forearm injury. He reportedly underwent surgery to fix the issue, and there hasn’t been much said about his status.

Vaki did not return after exiting in the first half during Monday’s win against the Baltimore Ravens. The second-year running back is now dealing with a groin injury after working through hamstring issues since camp started.
