A man who died almost 15 years after being stabbed in the neck in an 'unprovoked' attack was unlawfully killed, a coroner has concluded.

Christopher Linton, known as Chris, died aged 40 from medical complications directly linked to the assault in October 2008. He was stabbed in the neck after he left the Derby Arms pub in Bury , an inquest into his death was told.

While walking along Bolton Road, near the Blockbuster video store, he approached two teenagers, Rochdale Coroners' Court heard. The girls got into a parked car. Two men were already inside.
