A school of bull sharks has been filmed lurking in the shallows of the Swan River, closeby to where a Perth schoolgirl was fatally attacked two years ago.
Tradies working above the Swan on the Fremantle Traffic Bridge filmed about a dozen sharks swimming near the surface on Tuesday.
The sharks were spotted about 100m from where Stella Berry, 16, was mauled by a bull shark in the Swan River in February 2023.
The City of Fremantle closed beaches along the Swan River and told people to stay out of the water after multiple bull shark sightings were reported to authorities this week.
SharkSmart received reports schools of bull sharks up to 2m in length were sighted near the Fremantle Bridge and Fremantle Harbour from about 10m offshore on Tuesday and Wednesday.
