ANCHOR POINT — A man wanted on a felony warrant was shot and killed by Alaska State Troopers at Stariski Campground late Thursday morning after fleeing on foot and brandishing a knife, according to authorities.
Troopers said 30-year-old Anchorage resident Tyler Moyer was the subject of a $50,000 felony arrest warrant and had been sought by Anchorage Police detectives. Around 9:55 a.m., Troopers in Anchor Point attempted to contact Moyer at the campground, located on the west side of the Sterling Highway between Happy Valley and Anchor Point.
