Police say a man has died after a shooting in Richmond Hill Thursday night.

York Regional Police say officers were called to Parker Avenue near King Road and Yonge Street at 6:47 p.m. for reports of a shooting.

When police arrived at the scene, they found a male victim suffering from gunshot wounds. The man in his 40’s was pronounced deceased.

YRP says there will be heavy police presence in the area with a command post set up at Oak Ridges Public School.
