RAVENSWOOD, W.Va. (WSAZ) - Sand Creek Marina and Campground is getting an upgrade in Jackson County, West Virginia.

“This is a result I wanted to see, and we are finally at the endgame,” Ravenswood Mayor Josh Miller said.

Miller said they will be adding one new boat access ramp with at least 12 to 14 new boat slips for rent at the marina.

“It’s exciting to see things you have worked on for years finally happen,” Miller said.

In December, t he West Virginia Water Development Authority awarded a little over $36 million to Ravenswood i n grants from the economic enhancement for five projects, and one of those is for new boat access ramp construction in Ravenswood.

Miller believes these upgrades will bring even more economic growth to the area.
