At 5:53 a.m. on Friday, the National Weather Service issued an updated dense fog advisory in effect until 10 a.m. for Higher Elevations of Indiana as well as Mercer, Venango, Forest, Lawrence, Butler, Clarion, Jefferson, Beaver, Armstrong, Washington and Indiana counties.
The weather service says to prepare for, "Visibility one quarter mile or less in dense fog."
"Low visibility could make driving conditions hazardous," comments the weather service. "If driving, slow down, use your headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead of you."
