A report from the National Weather Service was issued on Wednesday at 4 a.m. for dense fog until 8 a.m. for Western Chester, Eastern Chester, Western Montgomery, Eastern Montgomery, Upper Bucks and Lower Bucks as well as Carbon, Monroe, Berks, Lehigh, Northampton, Delaware and Philadelphia counties.
"Locally dense fog has developed across portions of the region. While not expected to be very widespread, localized visibility may drop below one quarter of a mile. Early morning motorists should use caution through the morning rush. Low beam headlights help keep your vehicle visible to others and reduced speed allows more time for you and others to react. Visibility should improve later this morning," adds the weather service.
