KIMBERLY, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — A district program that employs high school students is helping fill maintenance, custodial, or office positions with students.
Schools are always in need of educators as well as people who work behind the scenes. Maintenance, custodial or office positions help the schools continue to function.
Superintendent Luke Schroeder from the Kimberly School District said it’s easier to fill full-time positions than part-time, meaning that custodial, office, and tech departments face worker shortages.
“We have students in a number of positions; custodial, maintenance. In the summertime and even now, we have students working on our grounds,” Superintendent Schroeder said.
Schroeder said the program began six years ago and has gained momentum recently. Students only n
