LEXINGTON, Neb. (KSNB) - The Lexington Police Department is investigating a crash Friday morning that left two children injured.

Officers were called to the injury accident on west 8th Street near Erie Street around 7:45 a.m.

Once on scene, they found a silver minivan on its top and a white dually pickup with severe rear end damage.

Preliminary investigation determined that the pickup had been parked facing an eastbound direction when the eastbound minivan struck the pickup on the rear driver’s side.

Police said the minivan then drove up onto the dually rear wheels rolling the minivan one time onto its top.

Lexington Police said the 14-year-old driver of the minivan and his 11-year-old passenger suffered head injuries and were taken to the hospital in town. The 11-year-old was later f
