NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — New Haven police arrested a man on Tuesday in connection with a Shelton Avenue shooting that left one person injured on Aug. 8.
Police responded to reports of a shooting in the 300 block of Shelton Avenue, where they found one person with a gunshot wound to the leg. His injuries were deemed non-life-threatening.
Officials developed probable cause to arrest 28-year-old Jakar Brock-Williams and took him into custody without incident on Tuesday.
Brock-Williams was charged with first-degree assault, first-degree reckless endangerment and illegal discharge of a firearm. He is being held on a $300,000 bond.
