PORTLAND, Ore. — Portland Trail Blazers guard Scoot Henderson tore his left hamstring during a workout this week, the team announced Friday.
The Blazers said Henderson, 21, will begin rehabilitation and is expected to return to basketball activities in 4-8 weeks. Portland's first preseason game is Oct. 8 and the Blazers open the regular season at home on Oct. 22.
Henderson, drafted third overall by the Blazers in 2023, is entering his third NBA season. Last season, the 6-foot-3 guard averaged 12.7 points, 5.1 assists and 3.0 rebounds. He was expected to compete for one of the starting guard spots this season for Portland.
