ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — There's concern now among local businesses and non-profits over a White House order that would make it much more expensive to bring in skilled workers from abroad.

H-1B visas are used by companies to employee folks with a higher ed degree.

President Trump has placed a $100,000 price tag on those visas.

Friday, those with the Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce came in to talk with News 8's Adam Chodak about the change.

They said many industries will be impacted, but were quick to mention health care, saying our hospitals depend on nurses who travel here from other countries.
