SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Pardy is expected to start this Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Purdy has missed the last two games due to a toe injury.
Purdy, according to a report in ESPN, practiced all three days this week and heads into Sunday with no injury designation. 49ers coach Kyle Shanahan confirmed that Purdy will start on Friday afternoon.
The quarterback's return will bring some relief to a 49ers team that's already beset by injuries, just four weeks into the season. Last week 49ers defensive end Nick Bosa suffered a season-ending ACL tear during the Niners' 16-15 win over Arizona.
Niners QB Mac Jones, who replaced Purdy in the past two games, is also dealing with a knee injury and is listed as questionable against Jacksonville.
