RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — The Raleigh Police Department confirmed a stabbing took place on Pecan Road late Friday night.

According to police, officers responded to the 200 block of Pecan Road just after 10 p.m. in response to a person being stabbed.

Police said when they arrived they found one person stabbed. The victim, whose name has not been released by police, has been taken to WakeMed for treatment.

A suspect has been taken into custody, police told CBS 17; however, the investigation is still ongoing.
