The Ryder Cup is now in full swing, with Day 1 of 3 complete at Bethpage Black in Farmingdale, New York.

The Europeans have a 5½-2½ lead after two sessions, thanks to a 3-1 advantage after the morning alternate shot, or foursomes.

Both Scottie Scheffler and Bryson DeChambeau went 0-2 on Friday, pulling double duty in the morning and afternoon sessions. Both Tommy Fleetwood and Jon Rahm went 2-0 in the same situation for Europe.

Bethpage Black got a visit from President Donald Trump , who, along with granddaughter Kai Trump , watched some of the Friday afternoon session up close.
