MEDINA, Ohio – Hoppy Dude Brews announced it is closing this weekend.

The brewery posted on its Facebook page its last day will be Sunday, Sept. 28.

“With the loss of our lease in Hinckley and obstacles in Medina, we no longer see a way to get Medina open. The journey has been filled by passion, creativity, and the support of all of you that have shared a pint, spread the word, and believed in us. …”

In its post, the brewery thanked its customers and fellow brewers for support during the more than four years it was open.

In August the brewery said it was closing its Hinckley taproom but moving ahead with a planned taproom in Medina. But Thursday the brewery shifted gears and decided to call it quits.
