TIGARD, Ore. — One person is in the hospital, and another is in custody after a shooting Saturday afternoon at a restaurant in Tigard, police said.
Tigard officers responded to the reported shooting at Sanchez Taqueria y Panaderia, located near the intersection of Southwest Pacific Highway and Southwest Frewing Street, at 12:07 p.m. Witnesses told police one customer had shot another customer.
The person who was shot was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. Police said they are expected to survive.
The alleged shooter fled the scene in a car, but officers tracked them down and stopped them less than a mile away at Southwest Gaarde Street and Southwest Pacific Highway, where they were arrested. Police said the suspect's name and charges will be reported at a later time.
