CURRY COUNTY, Ore. — Several state task forces are responding to a lightning-caused wildfire in the Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest area that grew significantly on Friday. The fire has elicited Level 3: Go Now and Level 2: Be Set evacuation orders, threatening homes and infrastructure in Curry County.
The Oregon State Fire Marshal is mobilizing four task forces and its Green Incident Management Team to the fire, called the Moon Complex, which has burned 12,650 acres and is 10% contained, according to Inciweb . The four task forces will be joining task forces from Rogue Valley and Lane County. Overall, a total of six structural task forces have been mobilized. Nine helicopters and a drone were also assigned.
