MORGANTOWN -- The West Virginia football team looked a lot on Saturday like Rocky Balboa -- beat up.
The Mountaineers were picked apart both on offense and defense by Utah, which used a 28-0 first-half lead to run away from WVU, 48-14, in Big 12 play inside Milan Puskar Stadium.
The 34-point loss to the Utes (4-1, 1-1) marks the worst home loss for WVU (2-3, 0-2) since 2012 against Kansas State, 55-14.
Six Utah players found the end zone on Saturday, including four in the first half.
The mistakes stacked up one by one for West Virginia. WVU didn't turn the ball over, but the Mountaineers were plagued with multiple missed tackles, assignments and opportunities.
West Virginia finished with 346 yards of offense, with only 85 yards coming in the air.
WVU saw two offensive touchdowns call
