The multi-storey car park at Coventry's former IKEA building could b be demolished. It is one of a raft of proposals that have emerged in a new planning application.
The city council unveiled plans to turn the well-known blue building into a cultural hub after the Swedish furniture giant shut its doors back in 2020. It contracted ISG to carry out the work but the firm went into administration.
John Graham Construction was then appointed to take over, but as a result it has led to some key planned changes to the design. In new planning application, the company says that there been some major changes revealed.
This includes knocking down the three storey car park. It would be replaced with a surface car park.
