More than 150 cats and dogs showed up with their humans for a free vaccination clinic at the Rancho Coastal Humane Society in Encinitas Saturday, according to RCHS officials.
A combination of vaccines to prevent parvo, and distemper in dogs as well as herpes and panleukopenia in cats in addition to other common viral pet diseases were distributed through the Petco Love initiative. RCHS also provided Rabies vaccines, microchips, pet food and other pet supplies and onsite offering pet licensing.
The Humane Society also ran an "Ask the Trainer" booth providing general pet care information and other assistance for cat and dog owners.
