MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The University of Memphis will receive more than $922,000 in federal grants, Congressman Steve Cohen announced.
"I am always pleased to see substantial federal investments at the University of Memphis," said Cohen "The grants will help ensure that vulnerable and disabled students receive the support they need to stay in school, succeed academically, and ultimately earn their degrees."
Three grants from the U.S. Department of Education Student Support Services program total $830,837. Another $161,474 comes from the Long-Term Training Rehabilitation Counseling Program, officials said.
