OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - Mayor John Ewing and the Omaha Police Department have issued statements after Bud Crawford was pulled over the morning after his celebratory parade .
According to Omaha Police, a car was stopped in the area of 12th and Capitol Avenue around 1:30 Sunday morning after it was observed that the car was driving recklessly.
OPD says an officer observed a firearm in the care while speaking with the driver. For safety, according to OPD, all four occupants of the car were ordered out of the vehicle at gunpoint.
The driver was then identified as Bud Crawford, and he was cited for reckless driving. A member of Crawford’s security team who was also in the car was found to be carrying a legal firearm.
