GRAND BLANC, MI – Words of support — and some calls for action — have been rolling in from across Michigan and the country in the wake of a church shooting in Grand Blanc Sunday .
Gov. Gretchen Whitmer and President Donald Trump were among the earlier public figures to lend thoughts to the shooting , which injured eight victims and killed at least two others before the 40-year-old suspect was killed in an exchange of gunfire with police at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 4285 McCandlish Road.
Whitmer called the attack “unacceptable,” adding her “heart is breaking” for the community, while Trump called for an end to what he called an “epidemic of violence” in the U.S.
