SEATTLE — Seattle Police Department (SPD) is investigating a shooting Sunday afternoon near Broadway East and East Harrison Street that left one person injured.

Officers responded just after 4 p.m. following reports of a fight between a group of people in the area, police said. During the altercation, someone used pepper spray before shots were fired.

According to SPD, victim was struck in her knee and treated at the scene before being transported to Harborview Medical Center in serious but stable condition.

The suspect, described as an adult woman, fired multiple shots before fleeing in a black SUV, according to police.

The investigation is ongoing.
