BURIEN, Wash. — A man accused of brutally killing his ex-girlfriend and their roommate pleaded not guilty to two counts of murder on Monday.
Marvin Montecinos appeared in court Monday, where a judge maintained $10 million bail for the 29-year-old. He is believed to have killed Victoria Cruz, his ex-girlfriend, and Yaneth Gomez Hernandez, their roommate, on Sept. 8.
The violent incident began when paramedics and deputies responded to a 911 call about "a man down with injuries" at a Burien apartment complex. Captain Stan Seo, who oversees the King County Sheriff's Office major investigation section, said paramedics rushed Montecinos to the hospital while deputies followed a bloody trail to the third floor of the complex.
Inside Montecinos' apartment, investigators discovered the two wom
