LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - One person was arrested after an investigation into a robbery at a bus stop on Friday.
Lincoln Police said the robbery happened at the bus stop on 13th Street between E and F streets at 3:30 p.m.
Officers were told a man swung an “axe-like object” at another man who fell on the ground while trying to run away. The victim said when he came back, he saw the suspect take someone else’s belongings. LPD said the loss was estimated at $300.
Based on a physical description given and previous contacts, officers were able to find the suspect, 54-year-old Sharife Davis, at a nearby apartment building and arrest him. LPD said some of the stolen items were also recovered.
Officers also recovered a metal chisel tool/paint scraper from the scene.
