A Farmington Hills man is facing felony charges in Wayne County for a hit-and-run that killed a Macomb County woman in Detroit last week.

Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy alleges Cameron Lee Sims, 23, was drunk and speeding when he crashed his car into another vehicle, driven by Sandi Odisho, 40, of Sterling Heights, trapping her inside. It happened at the Eight Mile Road/Schoenherr Road intersection shortly before 6 p.m. on Sept. 25. Sims then fled the scene, Worthy said.

Medics responding to the crash pronounced Odisho dead at the scene.

Investigation by Detroit police led to Sims’ arrest a short time later, Worthy said. He’s charged with operating while intoxicated-causing death, reckless driving-causing death, and leaving the scene of an accident when at fault-causing death. At h
