ROCKFORD, Ill. — A traffic crash on Sunday night is said to have left one man with serious wounds.

On the night of Sunday, Sept. 28, Rockford Police officers were called to the intersection of 7th Street and 12th Avenue for reports of an accident with injuries. When they arrived, they found a 36-year-old man lying in the street.

The man was taken to a local hospital and is said to be in critical condition. The driver stayed on the scene and was identified as 21-year-old Damarius Bullock of Rockford.

Officers launched an investigation and found a handgun, ammunition, and cannabis in Bullock's vehicle. Bullock was taken to Winnebago County Jail.

The Winnebago County State's Attorney's Office charged Bullock with aggravated illegal use of a weapon, possession of a weapon and ammunition
