Anthony Albanese’s high-profile visit to the United Kingdom has divided opinion at home, with Sky News panellists Joe Hildebrand and Bronwyn Bishop clashing over whether the Prime Minister’s speech to the British Labour Party conference strengthened Australia’s standing or undermined it.

Mr Albanese travelled to Liverpool to stand alongside embattled UK Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer, declaring the two nations would work together to “defend democracy itself” and resist “the low politics of fear and resentment”.
