Parking lot and walking track closed at Springfield park

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - The parking lot and entrance to the walking track at Blunt Park in Springfield is closed to the public.

The 1535 Roosevelt Avenue lot will remain closed until further notice while construction workers renovate the parking lot and make improvements to recreational amenities.

The main entrance to Blunt Park at 1800 Roosevelt Avenue, right next to Central High School, will remain open for use.

The project is expected to be completed by June 1, 2026.
