Tara Miller's body was found south of Calgary on March 30, 2023

Manslaughter charges were effectively dropped against two Calgary men Monday as the Crown stayed the allegation against one and took pleas to lesser charges against another.

Both Paul Joseph Fettig and Ahmed Merhi Chehade were scheduled to face a preliminary inquiry for their roles in the death of Calgary woman Tara Miller.

But Crown prosecutor Katherine Love stayed the manslaughter against Chehade, before reading in facts to support convictions against Fettig for forcible confinement, possession of stolen property, driving while prohibited and breaching a house arrest order.
