MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. (KIMT) — The Minnesota Twins announced that Rocco Baldelli will not return as the team’s manager in 2026.

Twins President, Baseball & Business Operations Derek Falvey expressed gratitude for Baldelli’s contributions, stating, "Over the past seven years Rocco has been much more than our manager. He has been a trusted partner and teammate to me in leading this organization."

Baldelli, appointed as the 14th manager in club history in 2018, achieved notable successes, including guiding the Twins to three American League Central Division titles and a postseason series victory in 2023.

Despite these accomplishments, Falvey noted the decision reflects the need for a new direction within the organization. Club Executive Chair Joe Pohlad acknowledged Baldelli's professionalism
