North Dakota State football fans may look at this year's schedule and think it's a typo to see the Bison playing in Normal, Illinois for the second straight year.

It's not a typo, it's accurate. NDSU will travel to Hancock Stadium for the second straight year this coming Saturday for a matchup with Illinois State. The reason why comes from Missouri State's decision to leave the MVFC back in 2024 and dropping down to ten teams.

The Bison have felt right at home playing in Normal, winning the last three games there by a combined score of 99-13, allowing the Redbirds to score just one touchdown in that span. ISU has had its fair share of struggles against the Bison, losing 13 straight games to NDSU. The last win came in 2010, a 34-24 win in Normal.
