SWISHER COUNTY, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) – The Swisher County Sheriff's Office arrested a 49-year-old man from Lubbock following a high-speed pursuit on I-27 that began in Hale County.

According to officials with the Swisher County Sheriff's Office, the sheriff's office was dispatched to the 58-mile marker on I-27 in response to a pursuit that was initiated in Hale County. Officials noted the vehicle was allegedly traveling at speeds above 120 miles per hour and driving northbound in the southbound lanes. The pursuit ended near the 80-mile marker, south of Happy, where the driver was arrested.

Officials noted that the driver was later identified as Joseph Paul Castle, a 49-year-old man from Lubbock. Castle was transported and booked into the Swisher County Jail on three alleged charges from Swi
