OZARK, Mo. — Local firefighters used two retired buses to practice emergency rescue techniques, according to posts from the Ozark School District and the City of Ozark.

On Friday, the Ozark Fire Protection District (OFPD) used a non-drivable school bus donated by the Ozark School District for hands-on training. The exercise allowed crews to experiment with different tools and techniques they might need in a real-life bus emergency.
Assistant Fire Chief Aaron Heaton said the drills help the department “be proactive rather than reactive.”
