LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel is out with a warning after multiple “copycat bomb threats” were reported across Michigan in the wake of Sunday’s deadly shooting and fire at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Grand Blanc Township.

Five people, including the gunman, were killed, while eight other people were injured. The victims range in age from 6-78. Local, state and federal authorities are still investigating.

Nessel is reminding residents that threats of violence — including false reports — carry serious criminal consequences, including felony charges of threat or false report of terrorism, which carries a penalty of up to 20 years in prison.
