HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - A 15-year-old girl is dead after a crash in Adams County on Monday.
The Adams County Sheriff’s Department responded to the scene of a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of 42nd Street and Heartland Avenue at 7:03 a.m.
According to the sheriff’s office, a southbound pickup, driven by a 25-year-old Grand Island man, crashed into a eastbound car driven by a 15-year-old Hastings girl.
The sheriff’s office said the two drivers were taken to the Mary Lanning Healthcare.
A 15-year-old passenger from Harvard in the eastbound car was also transported to Mary Lanning, where she was pronounced dead.
The Nebraska State Patrol, Clay County Sheriff’s Office, Hastings Rural Fire Dept., Glenvil Fire & Rescue, Trumbull Fire and Hastings Fire & Rescue assisted at the scene.
