FRONT ROYAL — Sponsorships for the town’s new Hometown Heroes Banner Program are going fast.

Hillary Wilfong, executive administrative assistant for the town manager’s office, said Monday that about 56 sponsorships have been sold since they went on sale Sept. 23. She said that for this inaugural year, Front Royal has 75 banners available.

“We have been busy. We have received tons of banners. It’s been very well received,” Wilfong said.

Offered through Military Tribute Banners, the program is an opportunity for Warren County and Front Royal residents to honor and recognize veterans, active duty military personnel, Reserve and National Guard members with patriotic banners hung on light poles throughout the town.

Sponsorships are $75 and banners will be hung along 14th Street and Commerce
