ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- 53-year-old Anthony Bechand appeared in court on Monday afternoon. He is accused of killing his girlfriend, 41-year-old Amanda Rodriguez, who was found stabbed to death inside her Cohoes home on September 14th. Bechand is facing multiple charges, including second degree murder, burglary, and tampering with physical evidence. He has pled not guilty to all charges.
After her body was discovered, police said Bechand fled and abandoned his truck in Franklin County. A massive 12-day manhunt followed before he was taken into custody. He was spotted walking along Rt 86 near Paul Smith’s college.
