GREENVILLE, N.C. (WITN) - Greenville police are clearing up confusion for Uber drivers and riders after a driver told WITN he struggled with pickups and drop-offs during ECU football games.

Driver Steven Gough said the Uber lot at 14th and Elm Street was the only pickup and drop-off area he and others believed they could use during the games. He said the lot is a long walk from the stadium, frustrating customers.

“If they order the Uber in the stadium, it easily takes them 15 to 20 minutes to walk up here,” Gough said. “For Uber drivers, that’s too much time.”

Greenville police clarified the lot was opened as a courtesy, but it’s not the only place drivers can pick up or drop off passengers.
