TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) - Pima County is trying to acquire some troubled properties after health and safety issues prompted state intervention.
Pima County District 2 Supervisor Matt Heinz said since taking office in 2021, he’s seen safety issues with some apartment complexes owned by landlord Brian Bowers.
“There’s sometimes drug use, it’s a place that I think folks that were unhoused might have been aggregating, or collecting as well, but not safe – not safe at all,” said Heinz.
