EAST LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — Every Monday in September, the Beal Botanical Garden and Campus Arboretum have hosted Mindfulness Mondays, allowing students to slow down amidst the busyness of their lives. • (WLNS) • (WLNS) • (WLNS) • (WLNS)

The gardens have hosted events such as a silent disco, yoga sessions, and painting in the garden.

This Monday, it was tea-making. Event Coordinator Finn Smith told 6 News these Mindfulness Mondays have been popular, and students seem to like having a moment to slow down and be in nature.

“I know that on days where I'm having trouble mentally, this is a really nice place to come and I usually end up feeling a little better," said Smith.
