BOSTON —

Red Sox fans are preparing for the team's Wild Card series in a rivalry-renewed matchup against the Yankees in the Bronx.

One fan, Phil Dunleavy, built a shrine dedicated to his beloved Red Sox in the basement of his Mendon home.

"The two teams I love are the Red Sox and any team that beats the Yankees," Dunleavy said.

Dunleavy, a retired police officer, curated his Red Sox shrine over decades.

The space contains memories from the 1940s right up until the present day, including signed balls, pennants and pictures of Teddy Ballgame and the Babe.

"Every pitch matters. Every single pitch, and when you find out it's Red Sox, Yankees, how do you beat that?" Dunleavy said.

Now, he says he's ready for his memorial's next addition.

"If they win, I can add to the collection," Dunle
