PEMBROKE, Mass. (WLNE) — A Providence man was arraigned on Monday after he allegedly kidnapped an elderly woman in Pembroke on Sept. 14.

36-year-old Michael J. Guerrero, of Providence, was charged with carjacking, kidnapping, indecent assault and battery on a person over 60, assault with a dangerous weapon on a person over 60, and threats to commit a crime.

According to police, an 75-year-old woman had arrived at the Ninety Nine restaurant in Pembroke after closing hours to collect her personal belongings she had previously left there.

When the woman attempted to enter the restaurant, Guerrero allegedly told the woman he was a valet and “offered to drive her to the rear entrance,” which he falsely claimed was open.

Police said the woman entered the vehicle, and Guerrero allegedly drove
